CloudSigma’s Advanced Hybrid Cloud Offering Recognized for its Industry-First Private Patching and Secure Data Access
Zurich, Switzerland – December 23, 2013 – CloudSigma, a public cloud IaaS provider with advanced hybrid hosting solutions, has been shortlisted in the 2013-2014 Cloud Awards Program, marking the third consecutive year that the company has been acknowledged for its customer-centric public cloud platform. Honored as a finalist in the Best Hybrid Cloud Solution category, CloudSigma is being recognized for its hybrid hosting offering, which grants customers all the flexibility, scalability and accessibility of a public cloud without the security concerns.
CloudSigma’s hybrid hosting capabilities are enabled by transparent private patching technology that eliminates the need for data to traverse over public IP connectivity. As such, sensitive company information is not only safe from cyber-attacks, data leakage and malicious hacking, but can be accessed quickly and efficiently in the event of downtime or disaster. In conjunction with CloudSigma’s open platform, which poses no deployment restrictions, CloudSigma’s public cloud has truly become an extension of customers’ on premise environments, enabling a seamless hybrid experience.
CloudSigma CEO and co-founder Robert Jenkins commented, “Being recognized by the Cloud Awards for our innovation in the hybrid cloud market further validates the advances we’ve made in combining the best of both public and private cloud environments. And, we will continue our mission to offer our customers a next-generation public cloud platform that’s able to meet the most complex compute demands for industries ranging from media and entertainment to research science and financial services, and beyond.”
Cloud Awards organizer Larry Johnson said, “Every year, we think we must have met the ceiling on how high the standard of entries will get. Every year those expectations are smashed, as a new wave of Cloud pioneers and innovators shows us their successes – and more importantly, their drive for success. Cloud technologies are like no other, showing a remarkable ability to act as a catalyst for scalable, intuitive, hardworking solutions for business and modern life. We are lucky enough to be able to showcase some of the brightest and best.
“We’re seeing entries from Europe and the UK, from Canada, from the Middle East – and they’re matching pace with US offerings. It’s always sad for those who can’t make the final shortlist, even after splitting awards into geographic regions where necessary, but I can say that every single entry would have been worthy of a place in the final list. We have no idea what the 2014-15 Cloud Awards program will bring next year, but it looks like the only way is up.”
Final winners will be announced on Tuesday 28 January 2014 and the Cloud Awards will return in 2014-15 for a fresh awards program seeking excellence in cloud computing.
