11th September 2014, London Cloudhouse™, the leading provider of Cloud Application Virtualization and Cloud enablement solutions for on-premise client/server applications, is recognized as a “Selected Vendor” for Cloud Application Virtualization in Gartner’s IT Market Clock for Client Computing, 2014. Analysis by Federica Troni and Michelle A. Brosnahan, published on 2nd September, 2014.
According to the Gartner report, “Cloud application virtualization offers many of the advantages of other application virtualization techniques and further improves IT agility by allowing applications to be delivered quickly or even to self-provision via application stores without installation on the device”. The authors further comment that: “Cloud application virtualization can decrease the time to deploy applications by reducing packaging complexity and application conflicts typically experienced using traditional Windows installer packaging. With cloud application virtualization, secure delivery is optimised over public internet”, making the point that, for the first time, application service can be natively delivered from public, private or hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Sean Corbett, CEO of Cloudhouse Technologies, states “We are really pleased to be recognized by Gartner in the ‘Cloud Application Virtualization’ category within this report.” He points out: “We have seen a lot of interest within our customer base for implementing ‘app stores’ from where users can self-serve the applications they need on demand to get work done. Our job is to make this simple and cost effective to achieve”.
Cloudhouse is working with over 700 corporate IT, managed service providers and package software vendors – such as Vinci and Glass’s – to centrally manage and deploy client/server applications. Cloudhouse customers have dramatically reduced the cost and complexity of running their applications whilst providing the freedom to exploit modern 64-bit operating systems and platforms, such as cloud, without compromising user experience or requiring expensive application re-writes.
