LONDON, 9th February 2011 – Cloud9 Mobile, the UK Mobile Network Operator who pioneered Call-Back, announced today that they will be demonstrating their latest Instant Roaming Hub based around Multi-IMSI technology at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from 14th through to 17th of February.
Cloud9 work exclusively with MNOs (Mobile Network Operators) and MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) in many different ways helping them increase their revenues and at the same time reducing their subscriber’s roaming costs.
They are pioneers in using Call-Back technology to minimize IOT charges for outbound roaming costs. Call-Back removes the need for Camel support in roaming networks in order to offer prepaid service and real-time billing.
The Cloud9 Roaming Hub offers the Operators instant roaming agreements with over 560 Mobile Network Operators in over 200 countries. This is typically 25% higher than the large UK MNOs.
With the Cloud9 Multi-IMSI technology, the company has entered into agreements with a number of MNOs to provide local IMSIs (International Mobile Subscriber Identity), in order for calls to be made at rates normally only obtained if the user is a local subscriber. The donor IMSI provider has integrated their systems with Cloud9 in order for all call records and call authentications to work exactly the same way as the standard set up, meaning no special requirements for the Mobile Network Operator or the subscriber, other than simply changing the IMSI in use via a simple handset menu.
The Cloud9 solution also provides completely tailored billing and integration services. A new Mobile Network Operator who signs up is able to choose from options ranging from the Cloud9 system maintaining the user’s balance on a separate “Roaming Account”, to full but simple Web based API integration. This means the user roaming via Cloud9 has their balance and charging detail fully integrated into the Mobile Network Operator’s own billing centre allowing the user to make use of the roaming services whilst using credit or being charged from their home account and payment details.
Cloud9 will be demonstrating their product at Stand 2G32 in Hall 2 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from February 14th through to 17th.
