Two companies unveil fully integrated solution to support on the floor sales
London, 11 June 2013 – Casio Electronics Co. Limited and Pursuit Software have today announced a partnership that will offer independent jewellers in the UK an end-to-end electronic point of sale (EPoS) solution designed to support on the floor sales and enhance the customer experience.
Previously, sales within UK jewellery stores have been restricted to the old-fashioned till point systems, where customers were often limited to one sales location and the information given was determined by what sales assistants could remember. This new partnership aims to improve the customer experience by giving assistants easier access to information and powerful applications allowing them to best serve their customers’ needs. For example, sales assistants will now be able to display the full range of stock on the Casio tablet, allowing retailers to improve sales and service by presenting co-ordinating styles or wider stock lines to the customer.
The integrated solution allows retailers to buy both their EPoS hardware and software programmes from a single source, enabling more affordable installations for the independent jeweller and on-going maintenance of these new systems simple and cost-effective. As well as this, with stock space limited in many jewellery stores, identical software linked across both the EPoS and mobile tablet gives assistants a larger opportunity to sell products to their customers. The integrated platform provides instant access to on and offsite stock so customers can always find what they are looking for.
Pursuit’s retail software solution Lifestyle will run on Casio’s Android-powered V-R100 EPoS terminal and the V-T500 Android™ ruggedized tablet. This will allow retailers to benefit from the combined expertise where solutions are talking to each other and give them access to top-of-the-range hardware alongside the latest stock control software developments.
Guy Boxall, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Casio explains: “Casio has always been an EPoS innovator in the retail sector. Our technologies and products are continually refined to offer the insight that will help struggling shop owners at a time when internet sales are growing. This partnership offers a high level of consumer insight and support across the jewellery sector while providing them with a partner to sustain all their software needs.”
Mike Burns, Managing Director, Pursuit Software says: “Pursuit’s tablet-based Lifestyle technology is about enhancing the customer experience and therefore staff-customer interaction. The V-T500’s screen size and wider viewing angle are obvious benefits that add a further dimension to the attractions that make Lifestyle and Casio hardware an ideal combination.”
Casio and Pursuit’s integrated solutions are now available in the UK and are being showcased at The Jewellery Show London on the 11th and 12th June at Somerset House on Pursuit’s stand, WS36
