Capgemini partners with Acquia to provide Drupal cloud services and expertise for its clients in the U.K.
London, 25 April 2013 – Acquia, where great digital experiences begin, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Capgemini Digital Services, Capgemini UK plc’s new technology-delivery business unit, to support the use of Drupal technology in large-scale digital solutions for its clients in the U.K. Acquia will collaborate with Capgemini Digital Services to develop and operate content driven applications that deliver rich, immersive digital experiences for its clients.

Capgemini Digital Services was recently formed to deliver every phase of digital transformation for its clients, from design, implementation and rollout of new IT architectures and technologies, to ongoing management, service delivery and support of the new systems. Its key focus areas will be:
Web-based business processes E-commerce and m-commerce for business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients; and
Cloud-based applications and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
Capgemini selected Drupal, an open-source web development platform, for its ease of use and its agility. It has a vibrant, structured and large community around it and is several great open source solutions in one, from a web content management platform to a collaboration platform.
