Business Transformation drives software development agenda
« Posted: January 14, 2011, 09:45:43 PM »

IBM, Oracle, Cisco, SAP, Jaspersoft and QlikView amongst major organisations hosting the European ISV Convention 2011

(London, 14 January 2011) Business Transformation and the profound impact it is having on European ISVs and the software development community will be a major focus at the fourth European ISV Convention, run by IT Europa and being held at The London Marriott Hotel, London on 10th February 2011.

“The tougher economic climate over recent years has made companies more demanding in their purchase of application software. They are looking for solutions that will transform their operations and processes and make them more competitive, agile and profitable,” said John Chapman, Content Director of the European ISV Convention 2010. “The delivery of such Business Transformation solutions requires companies to combine and integrate existing technologies in a more dynamic, cost effective and flexible manner.”

At the European ISV Convention 2011 major organisations involved in the Business Transformation and Cloud Computing revolution such as IBM, Oracle, Cisco, SAP, Jaspersoft, QlikView, Delta and the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) will be giving their views on how this marketplace will evolve, debate these issues with delegates and other sponsors and meet in boardroom sessions and 1:1 meetings.

“ISVs and Software Developers have become aware that Business Transformation rewrites the rules on how business applications will be developed for enterprises and small to medium size organisations,” John Chapman continued. “It means taking a more holistic view of applications development that will support more effective interaction between individuals, groups and organisations. The implications for developers is that they will need new business partners to help them understand these new issues, provide some of the technologies and skills as well as open up new markets and business opportunities.”

The European ISV Convention 2011 provides an opportunity for ISVs to catch up with industry developments and debate issues with sponsors and delegates during conference, boardroom and networking sessions. There are still delegate places available for ISVs and software developers who wish to attend the European ISV Convention 2010. Participation is free of charge to qualifying delegates.
