NovaStor’s auto data protection built into NAS products
London UK, 29 June 2010 – Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of storage and wireless networking solutions, today announced the introduction of the award winning NovaStor data protection software to its entire portfolio of network attached storage (NAS) solutions. From June 2010 Buffalo customers that purchase any product from the TeraStation or LinkStation range will receive NovaBACKUP.
Small to medium businesses, serious about protecting digital assets, will benefit from NovaStor’s NovaBACKUP Business Essentials all-in-one data protection software, within the TeraStation range of NAS devices. Companies will receive 10 licenses of the all-in-one data protection software enabling more than one user to manage backups.
Consumers will be able to automatically backup personal files with NovaStor’s NovaBACKUP Professional within the LinkStation family of NAS solutions. Each device will come with five licenses to allow multiple users to quickly and securely back up photos, music, media and email.
NovaBACKUP software provides powerful, full and local online backup capabilities combined with ease of use and a library of robust features. Open File Manager Agent and Bare Metal Restore (BMR) provide users with easy business continuity solutions, whilst NovaStor’s TimeSlider protects the Buffalo device and the content, even in the case of an onsite disaster. Business backup support is provided for Microsoft® Windows Server® operating systems, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server® backup agents.

All new LinkStation and TeraStation products, purchased after 21 June 2010, are eligible for free upgrade if the purchased device did not contain NovaBACKUP. All products purchased prior to the 21 June 2010 will be offered a competitive upgrade to the relevant NovaBACKUP product.
