London, 5 March 2013 – Broadband Asia & TV Connect Asia 2013, taking place on 9-10 April at the Shangri-La, Hong Kong, will bring together the region’s industry leaders at the InfoVision Awards Asia, which celebrate excellence in telecoms and recognise the outstanding technologies developed for broadband and connected entertainment in the last 12 months. The 2013 awards will continue to significantly benefit Asia, attracting an even higher number of entries than ever before, culminating in a winner’s ceremony during day two’s keynote session at the event.
This year’s awards will be judged by an influential panel of senior and expert individuals, including professionals who represent an impressive cross section of the industry. The judges include Marcel Fenez, AP Technology Communications and Entertainment Leader, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Hong Kong; Duncan Bees, CTO of HGI; Roland Montagne Director of Telecoms at iDate; Amrish Kacker, Partner at Analysis Mason; and Tony Brown, Senior Analyst at Informa Telecoms & Media.

2013’s categories offer the region’s entire broadband and connected entertainment ecosystems the chance to shine. They ensure that the hard work and dedication exhibited by those in the sector are recognised by vendors, service providers and industry standard bodies from around the globe.

Best Asian Broadband Service Provider of the Year
Recognises a broadband service provider in Asia that has shown outstanding innovation, leadership and customer focus, in the year between April 2012 and March 2013.
Best Asian Broadband Access Technology of the Year
Recognises an excellent product or innovation in the area of Access Networks by a telecom solutions vendor or a broadband operator/service provider (mobile, wireless, ISP), launched between April 2012 and March 2013 which offered significant new prospects for increased revenue, managing costs, improving quality or increasing customer satisfaction.
Best Asian Service Platform of the Year
Recognises a media service provider in Asia that has shown outstanding innovation; recognises an excellent product, service or innovation in the area of Service Platforms by a telecom solutions vendor or a broadband operator/service provider (mobile, wireless, ISP) launched between April 2012 and March 2013 which has offered significant new prospects for increased revenue, managing costs, improving quality or increasing customer satisfaction.
