London, 27 June 2013 – Today, the Broadband World Forum announces the shortlisted companies for the globally recognised Broadband InfoVision Awards in a year which welcomes a hugely exciting and diverse range of entries.
Considered the industry’s most prestigious mark of excellence in the broadband space, the InfoVision Awards will take place as part of Broadband World Forum in Amsterdam on 22 - 24 October. The final winners, drawn from every corner of the global industry, will be announced on 23rd October.
Each year the industry eagerly anticipates this celebration of excellence which culminates in a high profile awards evening and networking party in the city of Amsterdam. Popular and highly sought after categories this year include the Broadband Home Award, Broadband Cloud Award, Broadband Access Award – Wireless and Broadband Access Award – Fixed. This year the Best Broadband Experience Award will also shed light on exciting developments, products and services emerging in the industry.
Two brand new categories have also been introduced to the line-up encompassing: Outstanding Contribution to Driving Greater Broadband Penetration and Best Service Innovation with SuperFast Broadband Networks.
The 2013 Broadband InfoVision Awards are judged by an independent expert panel including influential figures from: UN Broadband Commission; Amsterdam Internet Exchange; BSkyB; BT Openreach; Deutsche Telekom; KT, Korea; PCCW, Hong Kong; and Telstra, Australia. This impressive panel of industry figureheads demonstrates the high level nature and significance of this awards ceremony and winning is one of the most highly sought after accolades in the industry.

2013 will witness the relocation of the awards to The PompStation, Amsterdam, on Wednesday 23 October 2013. The new venue reflects the change in format for the awards to a relaxed VIP networking party, which will present attendees with unique networking opportunities amongst the industry elite.
