Board: Let kids bring gadgets to school - Margo Horner, The Federal Way Mirror

Students in Federal Way schools next year will be allowed to bring their cell phones and iPods, the school board voted last week. While the board did not ban electronic devices, their use will be limited, the new board policy states.... In elementary schools, electronics must remain turned off and out of sight. In middle schools, electronics may not be used during school hours. In high schools, electronics may only be used during lunch periods in areas designated for such use in each school. The devices must remain put away throughout the remainder of the day.
