(Oslo, 21 May 2013) Birdstep Technology has announced the election of Massimo Migliuolo to Birdstep's Board of Directors.

Migliuolo brings more than 20 years of experience of strategic business development, architecture sales and go-to-market strategy, especially in the mobile and cloud industry. He lives and works in Europe and he is an experienced global business leader with a proven track record in building digit growth businesses in innovative markets. Migliuolo is currently an entrepreneur in the ICT sector.

Previously Migliuolo spent 11 years at Cisco and in his last role as Vice President of Emerging Markets, he was responsible for establishing and managing the Go to Market Strategy for the Emerging Market Theatre. He was also responsible for the Service Provider, Enterprise, Public Sector and Small and Medium line of Business in the Theatre as well as Marketing and Technology Architecture functions.

In addition to hosting leading positions at Cisco for 11 years Migliuolo has worked as a top executive in global companies including Lucent Technologies and AT&T Network Systems. Prior to Cisco he held the position as Managing Director at Lucent Technologies where he established and ran the GSM Mobile Sales Organization in EMEA.
