Belgium’s leading telecommunications service provider chooses Aepona’s API Monetization Platform to open up its network assets to enterprises, application developers and content providers

Mobile World Congress, BARCELONA, Spain – February 27, 2012 – Aepona, the software platform pioneer and global market leader in monetizing cloud and network services, announced today that Belgacom, the leading provider of telecommunications services to consumers and businesses in Belgium, has chosen Aepona’s API Monetization Platform (AMP) for its BeOpen API initiative, through which Belgacom’s core network assets will be made available to its partners as web services-based APIs.

Belgacom’s BeOpen initiative will allow its partners to quickly and easily add network capabilities and intelligence to their applications, creating differentiation for consumer services and enabling productivity gains for business applications. The main goal of the BeOpen initiative is to create a vibrant ecosystem of application developers that will benefit Belgacom’s customers and partners through the creation of innovative new services.
