BaseKit - the World’s most Partner Friendly site builder – will be a platinum sponsor of the World Hosting Days 2013 (WHD), the largest event from and for the hosting and cloud industry.
WHD Global has been described as the melting pot for the international hosting industry. At last year’s event over 4,200 visitors were registered, representing 88 countries.
This year’s event will take place in Rust, Germany from Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st of March.
BaseKit at World Hosting Days
BaseKit will be represented at WHD with a booth at the hosting exhibition and with two speaking slots presented by Gordon Plant, BaseKit´s VP of User Experience and Community. Gordon has 20 years of experience in delivering benefits for media and publishing companies. Before joining BaseKit, Gordon ran a successful consultancy with clients including Pearson Education, Collins, The UK Environment Agency and Arts Council England.
In the first speaking slot (Tuesday, March 19 at 18.00) Gordon will focus on trends and opportunities within the sitebuilder space, examining the key trends in this rapidly changing sector, such as responsive design, mobile site builders, reduced features sets, higher prices for simpler services and dynamic content sourcing. He will also discuss the potential risks and rewards for hosting companies selling sitebuilders.
In the second speaking slot (Wednesday March 20 at 14.25) Gordon will discuss the battle in the SMB customer segment to not just maintain, but to raise ARPU, putting in perspective how this was done in the past and how things have changed in the present. Gordon will give an in depth analysis of the SMBs and micro-SMBs reality, shedding light on the vital role product, package, user experience, and site builder applications have on the customer´s value perception.
