Two year managed service contract to support 4500 mobile users
Weybridge, UK, 23 June 2010: DSG international plc (‘DSGi’), the UK’s leading electrical retailer with brands including Currys, PC World and Dixons.co.uk, has committed their mobile spend and management of over 4500 mobile devices to Azzurri Communications, the UK-focused managed service provider.
The two year contract will see Azzurri provide handsets, support and mobility services to DSGi teams. DSGi will utilise Azzurri’s sophisticated ARM (Azzurri Resource Manager) portal to increase visibility of usage and to gain full control of their mobile spend.
Azzurri proved their value to DSGi by monitoring and managing DSGi’s mobile spend as part of ongoing consultancy on the existing account - Azzurri implemented and manage DSGi’s Wide Area Network (WAN) - which provided them with the confidence to move their entire mobile estate for Azzurri to look after.
Brian Foley, Network Manager for DSGi said: “As we look to operate the business better, easier and cheaper, Azzurri have stretched the horizon of where we thought we could go in this field. They have adapted their products and their processes to help meet our needs. That’s why I’m confident their mobility division can also provide us with a flexible and cost-effective managed service.”
The integrated managed service model Azzurri uses continuously evaluates and adjusts the service to ensure DSGi benefits from the best products and tariffs in the marketplace, helping to drive down both capital and operational expenditure year on year.
Jason Standerwick, Sales and Marketing Director, Azzurri Communications, said: “Azzurri has a very strong market proposition for the retailers. Our ability to implement and manage complex retail networks is a strength in itself, but when this is overlaid with our skills in service application delivery and in mobility management it becomes a very compelling model.”
