Attenda Limited, the Business Critical IT company, today announced that it has become one of only a select few UK VMware Solution Provider Enterprise partners authorised to resell VMware vCloud Hybrid Service (vCHS) to its managed services clients.
Following on from VMware’s launch of its European public cloud footprint in London Slough, during February 2014, Attenda is taking a lead, to offer managed services to its clients on this enterprise-ready, UK based, VMware cloud platform.
Commenting on the announcement, Oliver Presland, Director, Service Strategy, Attenda says, “vCHS offers our clients a simple route to seamless cloud adoption, migration between private and public cloud and the creation of a hybrid environment that supports business critical applications.”
The proposition that systems running on-premises on VMware software will run in vCHS is a strong one; however, a consistent Attenda and VMware management and support structure across the hybrid environment, delivers the necessary confidence for clients to embrace the use of public cloud to underpin their key business applications.
As Oliver Presland comments, “We are finding that more and more of our clients are assessing the distribution of existing and new workloads across hybrid architecture. The addition of VMware vCHS hybrid cloud service to our portfolio is an important component, enabling delivery of the optimum combination of public, private and hybrid clouds to suit our clients’ individual business needs.”
Attenda’s structured client engagement methodology ensures that it can work with clients at a strategic level to facilitate the right technology choices, ensuring that the solution delivers the desired business outcome. Typical vCHS usage scenarios would include the provision of flexible, cost effective, test and development environments; leveraging burst capacity during peak loads; and the ability to take advantage of advanced, cloud-based high availability and disaster recovery services.
