...And Prices In Market Data And Analytics Portal
London, July 30, 2013
Aspect Enterprise Solutions, a leading provider of multi-commodity trading and risk management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications delivered in the Cloud, today announces new delivery choices for the way traders can view and leverage Argus Media news and pricing services in AspectDSC, its Decision Support Center for traders.
Argus is a global price and analysis service that produces detailed information about energy and commodity markets, covering crude, petroleum products, natural gas, LNG, electricity, coal, emissions, biomass, biofuels, fertilizers, petrochemicals, metals and transportation. This service is streamed in real-time and accessible in historical archives, and advanced Excel and charting tools in AspectDSC, along with other spot benchmark services and futures pricing exchanges.
Specific to the enhanced Argus service in AspectDSC is the introduction of Bulletin Boards, which include bids, offers and deals done in both physical and paper markets. Argus Bulletin Boards are now available via AspectDSC on mobile devices, tablets and desktops globally.
Perhaps the most unique enhanced application for leveraging Argus data is in the AspectDSC Price Table, which is not available in any other vendor system. AspectDSC Price Table allows users to view multiple benchmarks from multiple sources in one table for side-by-side analysis. For example, traders can view the Argus crude oil price for North America, along-side the NYMEX WTI Crude and ICE Brent Crude futures prices. Tables are easily set up by users through an intuitive, user-friendly interface.
Another enhancement is in the way users can view Argus data via the advanced Excel trading tool, Real-Time Data (RTD). RTD is a Microsoft application embedded in AspectDSC that allows commodities traders to link pricing spreadsheets that become live and update as markets move.
Aspect customers also have access to scrolling headlines that can be set to keyword filters, and up to 55 PDF reports including crude oil and product commentary for Asia-Pacific, Europe and US markets.
Brigette Gebhard, vice president of marketing at Aspect says, “We are very excited to be working with Argus on these new data choices. Our product and development teams continuously collect feedback and survey the market with an eye towards creating the widest range of customization options, along with a full suite of commodity data sets from leading index providers, like Argus. The key here is in the many ways users can use Argus data with an aggregated view of other sources to analyze markets.”
Aspect is offering Power Hours, free E-learning courses for customers and market participants beginning August 22nd at 14:00 Singapore, and again at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time via Webcast. These sessions are held the third Thursday of every month, with the first topic featuring “How To Slice & Dice Argus Data To Fit Your Trading Needs.” To register, visit this
