2nd November 2011 – Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust have gone live with Ascribe’s client centric Case Management Clinical IT system, JCC, providing the core clinical system to one of the country’s largest and most complex Foundation Trusts.
The Trust chose Ascribe’s Mental Health & Community Care solution JCC, over the National Programme solution, due to the richer clinical functionality offered by the Ascribe solution.
Ascribe logoThe Trust has migrated from Ascribe’s ePEX system to the JCC, providing them with an integrated system that tracks and collates clinical information across multiple sites and services, ensuring that clinicians are more fully informed as they determine care pathways and decisions for their clients. To further integrate the clinical IT systems and improve patient care, the Ascribe JCC system is integrated with Ascribe’s Pharmacy solution (already installed at the Trust). This integration enables clinicians to share and review medicines records within the JCC system.
The final steps towards full integration announced in this release achieve the Trust’s requirement for a single integrated mental health clinical solution.
Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest mental health trusts in the UK – with over 5,000 employees working in over 150 sites, the importance of having one centralised clinical system is paramount to ensure patient safety and accuracy of records within such a complex environment. JCC is able to provide timely information at point of care; ensuring information and patient records are up to date and secure.
Ben Lucas, Consultant Psychiatrist at the Trust, commented on behalf of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust: “We chose the Ascribe JCC system due to its ability to act as a single integrated mental health clinical solution in what is a complex environment. The system provides us with all the information we need at point of care and helps us improve patient safety.”
