• New Arqiva media facility in Paris to host and manage broadcast services
Arqiva, the communications infrastructure and media services company, has opened its new facility in France: The Media Centre Paris. This state-of-the-art new-build facility reinforces Arqiva’s French-based operations which provide television distribution services for many major French broadcasters. Broadcast industry guests attended Arqiva’s opening celebrations which included a tour of the facility and an explanation of the services it provides.
The Media Centre Paris is conveniently located at the Energy 2 building in Velizy, just a short distance from the facilities of many French broadcasters. It offers a secure and resilient technical centre from which to host and manage broadcast services: the high-tech monitoring suite provides 24/7 operational and engineering support in both English and French. The site can be accessed via Arqiva’s managed IP-based contribution network and includes dual and diverse connectivity to Arqiva’s global distribution network of teleports and terrestrial fibre, enabling onward delivery of content to almost anywhere in the world.
John Bozza, Sales Director, Broadcast & Media at Arqiva, said: “Arqiva already has an excellent reputation among French broadcasters. Our investment in The Media Centre Paris will enable us to better serve our existing customers while facilitating our future growth in this important market. The facility also acts as the new base for our dedicated French sales team and it was wonderful to meet with so many customers at the launch, and to receive such positive feedback from them. These are exciting times for Arqiva in France.”
