PALO ALTO, CA – April 1, 2013 – CloudSigma, an international, customer-centric, pure-cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider, today announced that its customers will now be able to benefit from fax access to their cloud servers. Complementing the existing SSH and VNC access, ‘remote desktop via fax’ provides users without internet connection the ability to view their cloud servers.

Robert Jenkins CEO at CloudSigma announced the service this morning stating “we are always listening to customers and they were clear, where is your fax access? For some VNC just isn’t performant enough. This new service is a world first for CloudSigma and the result of six months innovation. Customers can now remotely view their screens from anywhere in the world via fax. I’m very proud of our technical team’s achievement with this new service.”
The service will be available at CloudSigma’s US and European cloud locations. Customers after booting a VM can simply provide a fax number and have their cloud server screen faxed to them every thirty seconds. The service has been in private beta since January to a few early testers and feedback has been positive.
“At first I was skeptical but now I don’t know how I’d live without it. It just works!” says Fiora Poll.
“I’m so in love with this new service I had to search online for a color fax machine; yes they do exist!” stated Pall Ofori.
Version 2.0 of the service is already planned for launch in Q3 2013. “We are going interactive” stated CTO Teodor Yantchev, “customers will be able to fax back mouse movements and clicks by simply annotating on the fax printout in green biro. Our new dedicated team will implement their requests directly on the cloud server.”
