Industry veteran returns to general insurance industry with claims management software specialist

LONDON, Tuesday 29th November, 2011 – IT-Freedom (www.it-freedom.com), the leading provider of specialist software solutions for the general insurance industry, today announced that Andy Briscoe, former Managing Director at AA Insurance Services, has joined the management team as Non-Executive Chairman.  The appointment coincides with a significant growth phase that will see IT-Freedom expand and strengthen all areas of the company to meet increased demand for its market leading claims management and policy administration software.

Andy had a distinguished career in the insurance industry before working in private equity where he recently led the acquisition of RAC.  In a six year career with Centrica, Andy was the Managing Director at AA Insurance Services, the UK’s largest insurance intermediary, an AA board member and launched the Goldfish credit card in 1997. Previous senior management positions include roles at BUPA, Clerical Medical and American Express.
