Barcelona, Spain – 25th February, 2013 AIRCOM International, the leading independent software and solutions provider for improved network performance, announces the availability of I-VIEW SON. This new product delivers a comprehensive Self Organising Network (SON) solution based on AIRCOM’s widely deployed I-VIEW framework.

I-VIEW SON is a multi-vendor, multi-technology, centralised SON solution. It combines multiple features - such as network data, root cause analysis algorithms, proven automatic configuration algorithms and operating characteristics - to find, validate and implement network parameter changes. I-VIEW SON can operate in both open loop mode, with engineer intervention, or closed loop mode, completely automatically.

I-VIEW SON delivers enhanced network performance, an improved customer experience and enables significant operational and capital expense savings. In recent live network trials, analysing thousands of cells in several major networks, I-VIEW SON was able to accurately and automatically identify areas with sub-optimal performance, determine the root causes and recommended appropriate changes. This involved tackling 4 major SON use cases simultaneously.

By proactively fixing an underperforming subset of those cells, I-VIEW SON was able to deliver significant improvements to network coverage (by 10-20 per cent), call establishment (20 per cent) and dropped call rates (30 per cent). Crucially, by automating these key network processes with high speed algorithms for near real-time operation, I-VIEW SON was able to reduce the amount of engineering time traditionally allocated to overcoming these issues manually by more than 90 per cent.
