Angela Pinette joins as General Manager, Americas and Richard Smith is appointed as Vice President of Global Channels

Dublin, 8th March, 2011 - AdaptiveMobile, the world leader in mobile security, today announces that it is adding Angela Pinette, former Vice President of Sales at Optenet and Richard Smith, former Senior Sales Director at Cloudmark to the executive team, further strengthening the company’s continued global growth. 

With over 15 years experience in the sales and telecommunications industry, Angela joins AdaptiveMobile to lead the expanding US team in addressing the growing demand from the region’s operators. Prior to joining AdaptiveMobile she was Vice President of Sales at Openet where in eighteen months she helped to grow the business by an impressive 60 per cent from the previous year. Angela has extensive experience working closely with telecommunication and large wireless carriers in the United States, Canada and South America, specialising in pre-sales, sales and customer service.

Angela started her career at Bell Laboratories as an optical networks hardware and firmware developer and served in a variety of roles at AT&T.

Richard’s role at AdaptiveMobile will see him taking responsibility for driving the company’s global channel strategy, particularly in the US and UK markets where operator demand for multi-bearer security solutions is sky-rocketing.  He has more than 20 years experience within the telecommunications industry spanning global business development, channels and sales management. He has previously held the roles of Senior Sales Director at Cloudmark and Narus, as well as VP Global Alliances at ADC Metrica. Richard was also MD and Founder of ECS, a specialised company in fibre optic and category five infrastructure design and build.
