April 18th 2012 - Acuity Risk Management has announced a new release of STREAM Integrated Risk Manager, its popular free Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) solution. STREAM Version 2.0 provides users with better visibility and easier access to detailed GRC information, including a personalised Home Page providing summary status information, as well as ’one click’ navigation, email alerting and advanced workflow and action management to plan and control GRC activities. Acuity has also released STREAM Version 2.0 applications, including ISO 27001, BS 25999, ISO 9001 and risk-based PCI compliance.

Being launched at Infosecurity Europe 2012, 24th – 26th April in London, STREAM Version 2.0 is designed to make it easy to rapidly customise, configure and implement enterprise GRC solutions and provide valuable, actionable intelligence for business managers. The STREAM risk management software, with a range of pre-configured applications and training packs, can be downloaded free of charge for use on a single computer. This allows an organisation to develop specific GRC management systems, such as information risk, IT governance, health & safety, business continuity or environmental risk; or to pilot a complete integrated enterprise risk management solution that can be easily upgraded to the STREAM Enterprise edition.

The new STREAM V2.0 Home Page provides instant ‘at a glance’ visibility of the status of each user’s risks, controls and events including incidents and near misses. Users can also see summary information on their personal schedules of actions, assessments and approvals, while a single-click will quickly take users to their personal GRC content.

STREAM V2.0 supports a continuous GRC improvement cycle where users are alerted as they are assigned ownership of risks, controls, incidents, near-misses and actions, or when they have been assigned controls to assess or approve. Actions can also be raised against risks, controls, incidents and near-misses and then cross-referred to each other, while action owners can easily view all of their actions from a single screen and report on status and schedules.
