Swiss BI solution provider adds record-breaking database for high performance big data analytics to product and services portfolio

Frick, Switzerland and Langen, Germany, 29 May 2013 – Actian Corporation (“Actian”), a next-generation leader in big data management, today announced that the company has signed a reseller agreement with COME Computer Systeme GmbH, a BI solution provider in Switzerland.

Under the terms of the reseller agreement, COME Computer Systeme GmbH will offer Actian Vectorwise, the fast database for high performance big data analytics, to organisations throughout the Swiss Federation as well as the U.K. via its sister firm, Emergent Innovation Ltd. Consequently, the agreement gives Actian access to a new community of businesses that are seeking to get more value from their data volumes, easily and affordably.

COME Computer Systeme GmbH cites the high performance of Vectorwise and the attractive cost model as key reasons for choosing to offer the analytic database to its client base in Switzerland and the U.K. Following an extensive demonstration of Vectorwise, the firm was convinced of the solution’s performance advantages and chose to add it to its big data analytics product and services portfolio.
