Bracknell, UK (15 March, 2011) - ABBYY Europe, a leading provider of document recognition, data capture and language software, today announced a new appointment to its executive management team. Bodo Wagener has been appointed Vice President of European Sales for ABBYY’s products for software developers and document and data capture products. In addition, the ABBYY Data Capture Sales Team has been reinforced with the appointment of Tobias Mohr to Regional Sales Director for the region “DACH” supporting Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Newly appointed Vice President of European Sales Bodo Wagener will oversee ABBYY Europe’s regional sales and licensing of enterprise and integration solutions. These include the ABBYY FlexiCapture data capture platform, ABBYY Recognition Server high volume document conversion product, and ABBYY Software Development Toolkits (SDKs). In his new position Mr. Wagener’s focus will be on nourishing and strengthening the ABBYY network and reinforcing ABBYY’s commitments to channel and customers.
An experienced sales expert, Mr. Wagener has more than 10 years working with international technology companies. He previously held the position as Regional Sales Director in which he was responsible for licensing and integration sales for the areas DACH, BeNeLux and Scandinavia. Mr. Wagener has been with ABBYY since 2003, serving as a Regional Sales Manager in multiple capacities and helping to grow the business significantly. Mr. Wagener was also instrumental in the launch of ABBYY’s online sales efforts. Prior to ABBYY, Bodo Wagener was working for Element Five (now part of Digital River), as well as other technology companies selling capital-intensive goods with a high need of explanation. Therefore he brings distinct expertise in consulting governmental institutions and companies and evaluating the ideal solution for individual needs. In his positions he was instrumental in opening new sales channels and driving revenue and gained profound knowledge of the manifold aspects and particularities of the IT sector.
New to the ABBYY Team is Tobias Mohr, appointed Regional Sales Director for the DACH region covering Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Mohr joins ABBYY with more than 10 years of experience working in the content management, data capture, and document management industries. Prior to joining ABBYY, he served as Area Manager Austria & Switzerland for d.velop Schweiz AG. In his position he focused on Sales and Marketing efforts and successfully built up the Professional Services Team. Prior to d.velop, Mr. Mohr was General Manager at Unified Services Holding GmbH (Swiss/Spain) where he was responsible for the Sales of Consulting Services in Europe. Mr. Mohr also served as Sales Director Certified Software Partners Germany at KOFAX Group/ DICOM Group plc. where he supervised the growth of the software partner network in Germany and supplied support for major projects.
