The work on this watch began in the year 1782 by Abraham-Louis Breguet and the work was finished by his son in the year 1827 after 4 years of his demise.

This watch is encased completely in gold and shows a mechanism that is very intricate running inside it. Abraham used sapphire just to lower the friction inside the watch. The queen, however, couldn’t see the watch as it was completed 34 years after she was being executed but I am sure he would have been completely awestruck after seeing this beauty. In the late 1900’s the watch got stolen but was retrieved back in the year 2007. Ever since that time, every connoisseur of watches wanted this piece.
