Rbot-GR webcam worm

A. K. A. the "peeping tom," the Rbot-GR is a worm that is designed to take over the webcam and microphone on any computer it infects, and relay the webcam session to a chosen destination. The worm is particularly nasty, as it even attempts to turn the webcam on if it is currently off. In addition to its voyeuristic behavior, the worm includes a trojan horse component that attempts to steal registration information for games and PayPal passwords from infected machines.

The worm exploits a number of Microsoft security vulnerabilities and spreads via network shares. However, several anti-virus software programs already offer updates to block this computer geek's dream.
