Confidence Versus Diffidence
« Posted: October 31, 2007, 10:45:11 AM »

Is confidence a right frame of mind?

Or is it a slogan that our culture uses to hide its diffidence?

Let's go a little deep into it.

When does one go confident (or diffident)?

It's only in front of a challenge.

Some situation challenges us and we have only two alternatives in order to deal with it - either feel resolute or go diffident.

Normal, not challenging situations, do not require any resolution in us. If I say I am resolute that I'll be able to pick up the spoon, you will laugh at me.

But if I say I am resolute that I'll be able to get selected in the interview for the post of CEO in a multinational company (it is a challenging situation!), you will start appreciating me for my attitude.

But how do I know?

If I really knew, I would never need feeling resolute about it - I'd simply know it.

One feels confident, only when s/he herself/himself is not very sure about it.

In other words, one only needs having resolution when one feels a bit (or a lot!) diffident about it - or when one is in doubt.

Diffidence is the seed that gives birth to the need of having confidence in oneself.

Just to hide the diffidence from one's own self!

Diffidence pains.

Confidence boosts the ego.

It's a mask that the mentality (or the personality) wears in order to suppress the painful feeling of diffidence in it, over this.

But the suppressed feelings are more dangerous than the overt ones.

They bring distortion in the personality. You become a double standard person who is doomed to lead a stressful life.

A diffident person is not as much in pain as a resolute one is.

Resolution is not able to end diffidence; it only masks it; and that too, not very efficiently - rather in a very crude way.

And that too in ordinary, expected situations only! If the situation is even a bit more unexpected, the diffidence under the veil comes out in the open, and the so-called resolute person awfully gets exposed in front of her/his own self, to her/his ultimate frustration.

Only resolute people (class A - obsessive compulsive personalities) fall prey to depression - that is a well-known psychiatric fact.

So, what is the way out?

In my opinion, the way is facing diffidence in its face - face to face!

Being ready for any outcome whatsoever it is!

That means having no psychological conditions in life!

And that is only possible, when one really loves what one is doing!

One is simply a natural person then, neither confident nor diffident!

By qualification, I am an electronics engineer. After my graduation I started my career as a scientist in the research laboratories of the Defense Ministry of India. My curiosity and my passion for freedom took me on a foot-tour to the places of knowledge in my country. I met people and studied their patterns of working, relaxing, expressing themselves to others as well as to themselves - in their routine, during enjoyment, in trouble and in emergencies. That gave me an insight into human kinematics and the way it affects the energy traveling through our body, or else getting obstructed in the way - either making health or marring it - from moment to moment, every single moment. Now, I feel like sharing my insight with my fellow human beings on earth!

I have decided to train people, free of charge, in the procedure of instant vision correction through opening their third eye instantaneously, if they call me to their place for a group of preferably 50 people at one time.

Contact me through http://www.ThirdEyeHealth.com to decide further program, together.
