In our modern day and age, discount stores can be seen on almost every street. In fact, a new Wal-Mart was just built in my neighborhood. Since we already have Wal-Mart and K-Mart in my neighborhood, we certainly didn't need any new bargain stores.

People around the neighborhood also flock to a shopping mall near my house. Of course, they are paying more money and hunting for certain brand names at the shopping mall. However, I've noticed more sales at the mall since the discount stores have begun to take over.

Since I like the idea of saving money, I've always been a fan of discount stores. I feel happy whenever I shop at Target for half of the cost of visiting the malls. Anyway, both the K-Mart and Wal-Mart discount stores in my town have added groceries to their stores making life even more convenient for many customers.

To be honest, I didn't like that idea at first. However, I warmed up to the idea after I realized just how much of a convenience it was. Life becomes a bit less expensive when I do all of my shopping at one store because of the high price of gas these days.

Do you know that discount stores are more popular in America than anyplace else in the world? Maybe that means that we're a cheap country that is full of bargain hunters. Of course, it may also mean that we all are smarter. After all, nobody wants to spend more money than they have to.

I think that those who shop at discount stores are simply more price-conscious than other shoppers. I don't want to spend $50 more for something just because it happens to be a particular brand name. After all, I can get the same item for less money, minus the expensive label at a discount store.

Target is my favorite discount store because it has more of a selection and more trendy fashions that the competitors. I'm proud of the amount of money I have been able to save from getting the majority of my pre-schoolers clothing at bargain stores.

I think that half of the items in my house have been purchased at discount stores. Most of the Christmas presents I give to my friends and family also come from bargain stores. I get my greeting cards from those stores because of the large selections and discounted prices they offer. I love the fact that I have so many bargain stores to choose from, even if I'm not thrilled with the disorganized traffic patterns in my town.
