Guest Relations should Present a Gift Basket to their new Guest

 In the hotel industry hotels have gotten away from honoring many of their special guests with a gift.  When the hotels find out there is a couple staying for a special anniversary they should give a gift basket to the lucky guest.

In honoring a guest with a gift, it shows they are pampered and cared about for their stay.  It also makes them feel as if they are treated somewhat with celebrity status.  In honoring them in this way the hotel will surely get them back for future stays.

It does not take much for guest relations to go the extra mile and purchase a ‘lot’ of the baskets and as they receive special guest they can just leave a basket in their room.  In most cases the guest do not spend too much time in a room, but there is nothing wrong in letting know they are cared for while that are there.

A great way to show your appreciate your guest is with a gift basket like: Ghirardelli chocolate bar , chocolate peanut butter delight, chocolate brownies, cappuccino, shell chocolates, chocolate fudge sponge cake, truffles, Popcorn.  A welcome basket filled with all these items is sure to make them feel special.

In this day and age many are watching their waist line.  So leaving a non food gift is the better choice.  Here is a suggestion for this case:   large beach towel , bottle opener, sea animal magnet clip, flip flop key chain, Adirondack chair candle, Life's a beach coffee and tea, lifesavers, bath gel and salts.  This gift is sure to light the guest that is staying near the beach.  It would be a fond memory of a special occasion.

The two mentioned baskets are perfect gifts for guest relations to hand out.  While they are special in their own way, they are not that high in cost.  When it comes to cost of doting on a client, the dollar value should go unnoticed.
