BECOME A SHORT SERVICE COMMISSIONED OFFICER IN THE LOGISTICS CADRE OF EXECUTIVE BRANCH
COURSE COMMENCING – AUG 2008
JOIN THE INDIAN NAVY - EXPERIENCE THE GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
1. Applications are invited from unmarried male & female Indian citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Logistics Cadre of Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Aug 2008 at the Naval Academy.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
2. Age: 191/2 to 25 years born between 02 Aug 1983 and 01 Feb 1989; both dates inclusive.
3. Educational Qualifications: A graduate degree in following discipline with minimum 60% marks.
a) B.Com/ BA (Economics)
b) MBA/ BBA/ BBM
c) MCA/ BCA/ B.Sc IT
d) B.Tech/ BE
e) Degree with Post Graduate Diploma/ Degree in Material Management/ ICWA or Charted Accountancy.
4. Physical Standards
(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height 157cms for men and 152cms for women with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/36 correctable to 6/6, 6/12. Should not be colour/night blind.
HOW TO APPLY
(a) Application Forms in accordance with the prescribed format and complete in all respects with superscription on the envelope “LOGISTICS CADRE - AUG 2008 COURSE, Educational Qualification………….................. .…..………..Aggregate Percentage..............%” is to be sent to the address given below by 30 Nov 2007. Applications sent by Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier will not be accepted.

(b) Application must be sent in the format given in the advertisement, otherwise it will be rejected.
(c) Application must be accompanied by attested copies of : - (i) 10th Standard Certificate for verification of date of birth and other educational certificates. (ii) Marks statement of all semesters/years.
(d) Application and requisite enclosures must be properly tagged/stitched by thread only. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) will not be responsible for loss of enclosures, if sent loose.
(e) Applicants should endorse their willingness to be considered for Executive (General Service)in case not qualifying PABT/Aviation medicals to be considered for the same.
