Title: How to Write Great Online Articles
Post by: Daniel Franklin on October 29, 2007, 04:55:32 PM

One of the most successful methods to drive traffic to your website, if you are on a budget, is by having your articles published on other people’s websites.

“How do I write these articles” you might be saying to yourself? To start with your writing has to be entertaining as well as informative. You need to write something that will interest your audience. It is also important that your article does not sound like a sales letter in disguise.

Tips for writing your article for the web:

? Include some cases studies with examples. Everyone is interested in real life stories and the techniques and strategies people used in various situations. These could be from your own experience, or that of your clients. If you use studies from any other source, make sure you reference it.

? In your article, give people some advanced tips to improve their skills in a particular area e.g. if your business is training, then you might like to give some tips on aspects that you think people may be interested in e.g. an article on training on the job.

? It’s people’s nature to be curious after the future. If you can predict a future trend, then you can write and tell them about it. If you are a real estate agent or a broker for example, you may have a fair idea about what is going to happen in your area in the near future, prices going up or down, interest rate increases etc.

? If you have done some research on a particular area, or have access to it, you can write an article about your research and include the relevant statistics.

? When you write your content, make sure your headline is one that grabs people’s attention. It should be eye-catching and interesting enough to make them read on.

By getting your articles published on other websites you increase your exposure and that of your business, and ultimately, the amount of hits on your website will increase.
