Title: Drastic but positive changes seen in online mentoring - Asian Journal Post by: Mark David on April 09, 2007, 10:51:53 AM The student-teacher relationship becomes deeper when a mentor gives hands-on training to a single student, often called a "mentee." Under these circumstances, a mentee learns not general subjects taught in the classroom, but a student learns all of the mentor's experiences in the hopes of becoming the mentor himself or herself in the future. Mentoring happens in various forms. Usually, however, those who mentor are scientists and academicians. A mentor imparts knowledge he or she has gathered to the mentees, who in turn try to emulate these experiences as if these were their own.
