Calnex Solutions Ltd announced today that it has officially signed an agreement with China Mobile Research Institute (CMRI) to assist in the evaluation of network equipment required for China Mobile Communication Corporation's (CMCC's) next generation mobile network. The two parties have also agreed that Calnex will collaborate in the development of test plans and procedure to be used by CMCC to appraise and select equipment for their future networks.

Calnex provides the essential tools to verify network equipment timing and synchronisation, and ensure equipment designs will comply with international standards necessary to be passed fit for deployment. Calnex will also collaborate with CMCC in presenting proposals to the International Telecommunications Standards organisation (ITU-T and CCSA) in order to advance the Industry's evolution towards supporting a broad range of network applications such as industrial automation, automated driving, robotics and virtual systems.

"This collaboration with China Mobile underscores our status as technology leaders in network synchronisation and it is an exciting development for our company," said Tommy Cook, Calnex CEO and Founder. He continued, "Over the next few years networks will be expanding like never before, in terms of both speed and capacity. Being associated with one of the world's leading operators will benefit Calnex's ability to grow its business across the region and help cement our profile within the Chinese market."

Scotland's First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, who attended the event, stated that "Calnex is a Scottish success story and I saw for myself the excellent and innovative work that Calnex does when I visited its base in Linlithgow, Scotland earlier this year. I am delighted to see the firm being recognised for its work and seizing on the opportunities open in worldwide markets, like China, as it continues its development."
