Interoute, owner operator of Europe's largest cloud services platform, has today announced that it has been positioned as a “Leader” in Gartner’s Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting Magic Quadrant, Europe released June 30, 2015. This Gartner Magic Quadrant is an annual analysis of Cloud-enabled managed hosting companies and their service offerings.

Interoute has integrated Europe’s largest fibre network, with its 12 data centres and 14 Virtual Data Centre facilities, to create a networked cloud platform. Over the last year it has extended this platform with new Virtual Data Centre zones in Europe, USA and Asia. Interoute also offers unique capabilities, such as movement of workloads and data between its international Virtual Data Centres at no cost.

Commenting on the recognition, Interoute’s CTO Matthew Finnie said: “To be named as a leader in the Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting Magic Quadrant for Europe we feel confirms our global cloud platform is meeting the business requirements of customers. Around the world organisations are using a variety of cloud services to transform their business. Interoute is providing customers with reliable computing performance across fourteen global zones which are all built into a high performance network with over 300 interconnects.”

The Gartner report co-authored by analysts Tiny Haynes, Gianluca Tramacere, Gregor Petri and Andrew Watson says, “Leaders have proved they have staying power in this market, can frequently innovate on their existing products and can be relied on for enterprise-class needs. They have proved their technical competence and ability to deliver services to a wide range of customers. They address multiple use cases with stand-alone or integrated solutions.”

This report comes after Interoute was recently recognised as the only European based provider to be included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service*, Worldwide report, published in May 2015.
