LONDON, UK – August 7th 2012 – The Tech Trailblazers Awards today launched a Twitter campaign called #TTAwards #blazingTshirts to give followers the chance to win a limited-edition Tech Trailblazers Awards t-shirt. The tech community on Twitter will be asked to retweet the @techtrailblaze tweets of their favorite category logos. The winners will be drawn randomly after the competition closes at 23:59pm Pacific on September 12th (the same time as the awards submissions close). The contest begins today, so participants should follow the Tech Trailblazers Awards on Twitter now at http://www.twitter.com/techtrailblaze. Founder and Chief Trailblazer Rose Ross commented: “There is a great fondness in the tech world for the humble t-shirt, and so we decided to make some cool ones for our judges. For a bit of fun Twitter buzz, we thought we’d launch a competition: #BlazingTshirts to get everyone in the mood for voting later in the year and to see which is the favorite icon from our nine categories. Our judges will share their favourites too. But they won’t be eligible for the competition, because they get a t-shirt anyway!” The Tech Trailblazers Awards celebrate and reward innovation in the following enterprise IT areas: big data, cloud, emerging markets, mobile technology, networking, IT security, data storage, sustainable IT and virtualization. The Tech Trailblazers Awards prize fund, projected to be worth in excess of $1m, is supported by sponsors and industry partners including MIT/Stanford Venture Lab, the Cloud Security Alliance, Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), Prezi, Computing, Startup America, RealWire, Lissted, Launchpad Europe, Mynewsdesk, Wazoku, and ExecEvent. All entrants to the Tech Trailblazers Awards get the chance to have their technology reviewed by some of the IT industry’s eminent influencers from around the world.
