Thoughts on Think Mapping Trends
« Posted: September 23, 2007, 12:04:31 PM »

Something of interest flew across my radar screen today, which is along the lines of some very interesting thinking. A four hundred and eleven million dollar Contract awarded to Carnegie Mellon University to assist software to track group and team behaviors. This could lead to tracking bad humans, International Terrorists and/or murderers or assault perpetrators?

http://www.bizjournals.com/pittsburgh/stories/2005/07/04/daily35.html?f=et74

Why this is interesting is that it shows the level of freedoms that the United States is willing to trade for permanent security from crime and International Terrorism in the future. I guess this kind of tells you where we are at presently. Although the actual goal will coincide with the thoughts pre-emptive survellience to prevent another 9-11 style attack, it will worry some no doubt. Eventually such technologies will include mind mapping, surveillance, modification, manipulation and data storage of thought, activities and actions? All of these technologies are converging as we speak.

If you do a Google search on this subject you will find some revolutionary white papers and there are quite a few papers worthy of mention as well. I think what we will be finding is that soon, we will have nearly complete data available about the individual human from many sources and in that we should be able to learn and predict what it all means and from those hyper-profiles we should be able to determine at risk humans from other humans and which emotional outbursts are innate and which are innate and highly problematic due to circumstances and experiences of that particular individual.

It is similar to some of the thought process one might come away with in the underlining question of free will VS Calvinistic pre-determined tendencies of genetic impression and design in the movie "Minority Report." So these things are of value in the study of such and in the designing of a system which protects the individual from normal or "under circumstances" of manipulation or stress emotional outbursts to that of profiled future behavior and belief system allowable capabilities of negative actions; if that makes sense to you; if not think on it and we will record it later on.
