-East to keynote alongside heavyweights VMware, SEGA, Bromium and Rackspace on day two of the UK’s number one IT infrastructure event-

London, UK: 4 October 2012 – ARM Holdings CEO and top IT leader in Computer Weekly’s UKtech50, Warren East, will kick off the day two keynote programme at this year’s IP EXPO alongside high-profile industry business leaders from VMware, SEGA, Bromium and Rackspace.

East's seminar, Enabling Innovation in Next Generation Enterprise Technology, will focus on how the growth and evolution of the mobile market and ecosystem has reshaped the consumer and enterprise space (09h50, 18 October at London’s Earls Court 2).

Second to take centre stage at 11h10, will be Joe Baguley, Chief Cloud Technologist at VMware and Francis Hart, Systems Architect at SEGA Europe. Their keynote, Innovating the Business of IT, will reveal new ways of delivering IT to enhance a business’s competitive edge. Baguley will also address the role of cloud computing in business transformation and explain how using pioneering IT can become a company’s strategic weapon.

Next up, at 11h50 will be Simon Crosby, CTO and Co-Founder of Bromium, who will present his keynote, Building Trustworthiness: New Security Models for Consumerised IT. Crosby, dubbed the ‘Godfather of Xen’, will explain why an inherently trustworthy infrastructure can prevent attacks, protect enterprise assets and guarantee privacy and confidentiality for the user.

At 12h30, the fourth keynote of the day, Cloud: Now, future and open standards, will be delivered by Nigel Beighton, VP of Technology and Product at Rackspace. Beighton will discuss how businesses should approach the cloud and grasp every opportunity available. The session will also include interaction from early explorers of the Cloud to reveal what they have learned, and how they are using the technology now.

Autonomy founder and UKtech50’s number one IT leader, Mike Lynch, will be kicking off the IP EXPO keynote programme on day one of the show alongside IT heavyweights HP Labs, Cloudera, Oracle and Lotus F1.

All of the keynote speakers are part of a 260-strong seminar programme that will feature the latest solutions for IP Networks, Wireless, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud Computing and Security. Cloud and Network Security, Big Data and BYOD will represent key themes at this year’s show as the IT department continues to grow and change.
