SUSE Linux software was first developed in 1992 and was released in 1994. The public embraced the new technologies and its many new improved versions were developed, the SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 was released not long ago.

SUSE Linux includes the multiple desktop environments that most of the Linux versions have, has built-in support for handling NTFS partitions, can be installed on a machine that also has a version of Windows on it, and of course has all the database and server software packages like Apache and SQL included. It also comes with audio and movie playback software and the open office suite.

Since a large number of people are considering SUSE Linux to be one of the best server Operating Systems it is highly recommended to give it a try. If you are new to the SUSE Linux or you want to learn more about its features and uses, you should attend training from the many SUSE Linux training centers. Many SUSE Linux courses are available that contain all the information you need for both people new to the OS and to those who know something and wish to expand their knowledge.

Below are a few examples of what you can learn from attending a SUSE Linux training course:

- Lean how to migrate to SUSE, if you already are a 'solid' Linux user but have never encountered its SUSE version you should get this course. This course is for advanced users who already know how to administrate a Linux-based network

- SUSE Basics and Fundamentals - for those who are completely new to the Linux family of operating systems. This SUSE Linux training classes contain a brief history of the OS, an introduction of its uses and characteristics, and then they go into the file and network managing and administration part, finishing with lessons about how to connect to a network and benefit from all the network services

- SUSE Administration - for advanced users who already have some good knowledge of SUSE and need to develop some administrative skills and learn how to to install and configure the OS and to repair some problems that may occur

-finally, for those who already know the content of the previous SUSE Linux training courses there is the advanced Linux administration class that teach manual configuration, security, backup, recovery and other advanced procedures.

After participating to one of the SUSE Linux courses you will receive a SUSE Linux certification. This is a diploma that proves that you are a certified SUSE user.

Depending on what course you successfully finish you will receive the SUSE Linux certification afferent to your class. Novell, the company that currently develops the new versions of SUSE offers several SUSE Linux certifications, like Certified Linux professional for people who intend to work as administrators and Certified Linux engineer for the most advanced users. You cannot have the engineer certifications without acquiring the professional one first.

In conclusion learning SUSE Linux can be very easy if you take a SUSE Linux course(s) and if needed you can attend a bootcamp for SUSE Linux certification.
