How to Turn a Free CMS into our Own Virtual Goldmine
 by: Haydn M. Matthews

With the advent of Content Management Systems (CMS), internet marketing has taken on a whole new meaning for those sharp enough to spot the opportunity to cash in on the never ending hunger of internet users for more information. Content is king, and the easier it is for providers to communicate, update and manage information, the bigger and more profitable the kingdom becomes.

Updating content was once a very time-consuming and laborious task. Editing and formatting was all done offline, then uploaded and tested online to ensure that all worked as required. Content Management Systems put an end to this by allowing content to be added instantly online through comprehensive editors incorporated directly into the applications themselves. Copy, Paste, Preview and Save – Voila! Content is online in a flash and dynamically produced on demand.

With updating and managing content made so easy, new opportunities abound for the astute netrepreneur who is able to readily identify a specific subject of interest and exploit it fully through targeted articles, product and service features, affiliate links and dynamically generated pay-per-click search feeds.

As an example of how I have taken the subject(s) of horse racing, football betting and casino systems and turned them into an impressive monthly income take a look at http://www.laytheodds.com

The process was simple. I installed a free CMS (http://www.mamboserver.com) and filled it with keyword rich product and service features, articles, reviews and directory links. And would you believe, the whole site took me just one day to complete from scratch, and an hour or so each week to update.

What would have once involved separate scripts to manage my members, links, mailing list, and advertisers, is now incorporated fully into one easy to use CMS with a comprehensive administrator backend.

What I have done is easily replicated. I did the same at http://www.123webmarketing.biz and http://www.tradingbureau.com – with each of the sites targeting specific subjects. With the tremendous income potential of closely related affiliate programs, click bank products, and the absolute magic of google adsense, these types of sites are a virtual gold mine. Easy to produce, easy to update and manage, search engines love them, and they make money. What more could you ask for?

Free content is everywhere. Take a look at http://www.articlecity.com for subject-specific articles to use in your new CMS. The key is to focus on 1 or 2 subjects and tie them in to related affiliate programs and advertisers, seamlessly incorporating everything into the overall site plan and design for profit.

If you have not yet discovered the power of a CMS then you are definitely missing out on a whole realm of income possibilities.
