Telephonetics VIP and Kingston Communications agree new multi-million pound deal for cinema call handling.

Telephonetics VIP, the speech recognition and voice automation specialist has signed a new multi-year deal with Kingston Communications to provide the network and co-location infrastructure to support all the cinema film information and booking calls for Telephonetics VIP cinema customers.

The calls that will be delivered by Kingston Communications equate to over 80% of the UK multiplex cinema telephone traffic. As part of the deal, Telephonetics VIP will continue to use Kingston Communications’ sophisticated CoLocation facilities for the hosting of their resilient 3,000 line speech platform.

Telephonetics VIP’s MovieLINE® is the market leading speech-based application for cinemas and therefore requires a telecoms infrastructure that enables fully scalable and resilient self-service solutions.

Anthony McKay, Chief Executive, Telephonetics VIP explains “Having the right technology and support is a fundamental element in providing solutions that are not only easy to use but also deliver tangible benefits to both our customers and their callers.”

He continues “Kingston Communications’ consistent reliability and continual service enhancements have made them a key strategic partner in enabling us to deliver ongoing great service and value to our customers. Our continuing relationship is key to maintaining our position as the leading speech recognition provider to cinemas and we are thrilled to have renewed our partnership.”

Iain Shearman, Sales Director at Kingston Communications, said “We are delighted to play a part in the continued success of Telephonetics VIP in its market and to make a contribution to the seamless experience it provides to its customers.”
