Redknee to Provide Real-Time Messaging Rating & Charging Solution To Leading Vietnamese GSM Operator

TORONTO – Feb. 12, 2008 - Redknee Solutions Inc. (“Redknee”) (AIM: RKN), a leading provider of innovative software that monetizes and personalizes services and content for mobile operators, today announced that it has been selected by Vietnam Mobile Telecom Services Company (“VMS”) to provide a real-time messaging rating & charging solution. VMS, operating under the brand name MobiFone, is a GSM service provider with the largest market share (approximately 39%) in Vietnam.

Working alongside Elcom, a local systems integrator, Redknee won an agreement to support over 10 million MobiFone subscribers with its real-time messaging rating and charging solution.

This agreement represents Redknee’s first entry into the Vietnamese market – one of the fastest growing mobile markets in the world.

Redknee’s solution will offer MobiFone a unified platform to enable real-time rating and charging for SMS and associated SMS-based value-added services as well as enhanced SMS routing capabilities for outbound roaming subscribers. The solution will also enable MobiFone to interface with multiple content service providers while optimizing revenue generation and assurance with flexible real-time charging rules and capabilities.

Lucas Skoczkowski, CEO at Redknee, commented:

“We are pleased to have been selected by VMS to provide MobiFone with our real-time rating and charging solution. Our advanced solution will support MobiFone’s complex billing requirements and our flexible and functionally-rich charging features offer the ability to interface with multiple content service providers to help VMS enhance their revenue assurance capability. We continue to expand our market share in emerging markets such as Vietnam due to our experience as well as our comprehensive and configurable solutions that meet the current and future needs of these highly competitive markets.”

A recent report by Asia Pacific Research Group claims that Vietnam’s highly literate and youthful population has made the country a strong market for potential investment, particularly in mobile services. Continued competition and reduced mobile call tariffs are driving subscriber growth into double digits while the rapid adoption of VAS services such as SMS-based content (including Caller Ringtones, games, wallpapers, mobile news, etc.) makes the Asian country an attractive market for content developers. With a current mobile penetration rate of 35%, more than 800,000 new mobile users are expected to be added each month in 2008.
