GOALS Something you want to achieve because you feel it's missing now or may cause problems if you don't reach them. Some kind of milestone and something you need to put effort into to actually be able to reach it. C-SMART?? - Let's start with SMART SPECIFIC A Goal MUST be specific enough to keep you focused. If your goal is to go on holiday next year then make sure to specify where exactly your are going and when. Vague goals equals vague results. MEASURABLE If your goal is to save money, be sure to keep track of your savings so you can measure the progress against your goal. The only way to keep you on track! ACHIEVABLE No need to set a goal that cannot be achieved. It causes frustration and loss of energy. Make sure to set your goal not too high but realistically high. Review your skills and resources and be honest.
REALISTIC Can you reach your goal within the time specified. Ensure you identify all external risks to your goals and where possible, plan for them. TIME-BASED Set a deadline for yourself by which you want to have accomplished your goal. This will keep you focused and sharp. Finally, the C stands for Challenging. That’s right, if your goals are challenging, your mind will work harder to figure out more creative paths to fulfillment. This is how so called lifestyle entrepreneurs do it: they simply have outrageous goals, whole-heartedly believe in them and make them happen using their creative mindpower. Well-known example: the milliondollarhomepage.
