Ya know...

When I tell people I won't meet anyone offline they always say, 'Well you can't get to know someone on line, you don't know what they're really like'.

They're wrong.

People's true colours show through faster online than in person. It took me one week of being online with someone to realize I'd been lied to for a whole year.

It's usually around the second week of talking on a daily basis that the persona they want you to see starts to slip just a bit. Uncovers just a little peek into who they really are.

People always say that you can be someone you're not when you're online. I say people's personality online is the person they actually are or the person they want to be, but can't show it in real life because well, it's not acceptable.

The guy that messages you with...'Hey, what size are your boobs?'...no matter how sweet he is in person, he's still that pig inside, he just can't show it to you in person. Don't fret though, it WILL come out one day.

People can only hide their real personalities for so long before it just gets to be too much trouble. They have trouble keeping up with their stories, trip over the lies they have to make bigger and bigger, forget some of the details.

I can't say I'm not guilty of this. When I first got the internet years ago I did the exact same thing. I made myself out to be someone I totally wasn't. Even started a relationship like that...with some little white lies.

I can be 100% truthful now in saying that I don't lie like that anymore...who you're talking to is the person you're getting so if you don't like this person , you're not going to like me.

I don't see the point in lying about things like that. I don't see the point in trying to cover up who you really are. If you can't be proud of yourself then no one else is going to be proud of you either. You need to feel comfortable with yourself, at ease, aware that no, you're not perfect but neither is anyone else.
