The Graphics Software Core Engineering (GSCE) team needs an experienced Basic Input Output System (BIOS) developer to deliver 2D Display Video BIOS solutions for our integrated graphics platforms. GSCE is part of the Graphics Engineering team within the Chipset group under the Mobility Group. In this position, you will be responsible for feature development and working with Gfx driver team to support Microsoft* XP* and/or Vista* Operating System (OS) and working on 2D display feature analysis and/or support to enable the mobile and desktop platforms. You will have the opportunity to learn about future 2D and/or display graphics technologies such as High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), Display Port and other optimization techniques.
Desired Profile You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics or Computer Science or Computer Engineering with more than two to three years of experience in software development. Additional qualifications include:
- Good proficiency in Intel assembly programming
- Familiarity with system level architecture and System Basic Input Output System
(BIOS) interactions
- Experience debugging assembly code using In-Target Probe (ITP)
- Experience in low-level device programming and/or hardware interfaces
- Experience in software lifecycles, software configuration management and change control
- Some background in 2D graphics would be an added advantage
