Strengthens commitment to open-source Industry 4.0 solutions
London, September 19, 2016– QiO, a leading global software firm focused on accelerating adoption of Industry 4.0, today announced that it has joined the Cloud Foundry Foundation, home of the industry-standard multi-cloud platform, as a Silver member.
QiO joins Bosch, Siemens, SAP, HPE, and more than 60 other technology innovators as a Foundation member. Through its membership, QiO will look to team with others in the community to rapidly design, develop, and deploy prescriptive analytics and applications that engineers can use to improve operational integrity and unleash new business opportunities.
QiO, which was founded in 2015, has quickly attracted a marque roster of clients in the Aerospace, Marine, and Energy markets.
“We are thrilled to have the QiO team join the Foundation,” said Sam Ramji, CEO, Cloud Foundry Foundation. “QiO is building the next generation of industrial IoT applications via our multi-cloud platform, positioning them for massive scale and interoperability. We are happy to announce that they have already begun contributing to our ecosystem”
The company has assembled an open-source architecture, based on Cloud Foundry, that is purpose-built to accommodate complex industrial environments. This industrial-grade architecture can adapt to any data, at any frequency, and can be deployed at the edge where the engineer needs access to advanced analytics – whether that be at a manufacturing site, in a public cloud, or in the company’s corporate data center.
“Cloud Foundry is the industry leading multi-cloud platform. QiO is committed to helping its clients rapidly innovate, at scale, in an open-source environment that doesn’t lock them into proprietary technologies,” said Baz Khuti, CEO, QiO. “We believe in teaming with our clients so they can retain control of their innovation, customers, and data and remain relevant in their core markets.”
