Subscriber Data Management Solution Receives IoT Excellence Award
« Posted: February 18, 2016, 03:55:40 PM »

Openwave Mobility Honored for Excellence in Innovation

REDWOOD CITY, Calif – 18 February 2016 – Openwave Mobility, a software innovator enabling operators to manage and monetize encrypted mobile data, today announced that its Subscriber Data Management (SDM) solution has received the Internet of Things (IoT) Excellence Award presented by TMC and Crossfire Media. The IoT Evolution Excellence Award honors innovative products that support the availability of information being deduced, inferred and directly gathered from sensors, systems and anything else.

ABI Research forecasts that there will be over 41 billion connected IoT devices by 2020. An often overlooked aspect is how mobile operators can manage and monetize these IoT connections. Openwave Mobility’s SDM enables service providers to analyze and monetize data from their subscribers from multiple sources, using many different interface technologies and at massive scale.

SDM offers operators one of the industry’s most comprehensive customer management solutions. It includes Subscriber Data Federator (SDF), a Smart User Repository (SUR) and Smart Identity Management (SmartIdM). SDF enables operators to manage diverse and siloed data no matter where or how it is actually stored. SUR provides centralized management of all subscriber data at carrier scale and SmartIdM enables carriers to securely share subscriber information and work with third parties such as content providers and enterprises.

“Tier 1 operators in North America, Europe and Asia are part of a growing number of service providers who have recently deployed SDM to manage and monetize their subscriber data and IoT strategies, “said Aman Brar, VP Global Business Development for SDM at Openwave Mobility. “This accolade means a lot to the team. This is testament to their tireless work in creating an SDM solution which is one of the industry’s most robust products. Our continuous innovation doesn’t stop here. We will soon be launching an update to SDM at Mobile World Congress.”

“It is my pleasure to recognize Openwave Mobility’s SDM with an IoT Excellence Award for its excellence in innovation,” said Carl Ford, CEO & Community Developer, Crossfire Media. “As a leader in this rapidly evolving industry, I look forward to seeing Openwave Mobility’s future successes”.

A live demonstration of SDM can be seen at next week’s Mobile World Congress: meeting room 6N11MR in Hall 6. Contact [email protected] for more information or to book an appointment at MWC.
