Aspect’s Latest Partnership Strengthens Links With Training Sector
« Posted: September 09, 2015, 04:27:17 PM »

Strengthening its ties with organizations tutoring commodity traders, leading cloud E/CTRM vendor Aspect announces a strategic partnership agreement with specialist training organization Bright Sparks Partners in Training Ltd. One of few companies to concentrate on the energy sector, London-based Bright Sparks delivers industry-specific training across the entire trade lifecycle, helping improve the business performance of companies making both physical and derivative trades.

Working as a Recommender Partner as part of the Aspect Partner Program (APP), Bright Sparks trainers will be creating training programs that use Aspect E/CTRM solutions in the classroom. This offers the opportunity for current and new traders to become accustomed to using Aspect’s technology; increasingly the default first choice cloud solution for small and mid sized trading firms.

“We’re delighted to be able to include a real and proven trade management system into our interactive training program. This will give our delegates a real feel for what it is to be a trader and manage positions, both operationally and in hedging,” says Bright Sparks director Suzanne Taylor, with the company since its formation in 2001.

The new partnership agreement formalizes a working relationship that has existed between Aspect and Bright Sparks for more than 10 years. Bright Sparks initially delivered training which included use of the AspectDSC (then known as OILwatch) market data solution. As a recommender partner, Bright Sparks will now promote Aspect’s solutions into its own clients where appropriate.

“Bright Sparks teaches traders, risk managers and operations people in the oil industry. This partnership will give them the possibility of also training in how to do business using our solutions. It’s a logical next step to have them recommend our solutions as well,” says Aspect’s VP of partnerships and services Chetna Bhatia. “Bright Sparks is strong and well respected in the trading community and we look forward to developing how the two companies work together.”
