The Jenkins CI community, the community of practitioners using the Jenkins open source project, today announced dates for the Jenkins User Conferences (JUC). In 2015, the community will expand the scope of JUC – turning three of the four conferences into two-day events. The Jenkins community is hosting conferences in the U.S., Europe and Israel, with support from lead sponsor CloudBees, Inc., the enterprise Jenkins company and continuous delivery specialist.
The Jenkins User Conferences (JUC) are the largest gatherings of Jenkins users in the world. At JUC, the focus will be on the use of Jenkins as the hub for continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD). Attendees will learn, explore, network and shape the next evolution of Jenkins development. JUC presenters are experienced Jenkins developers, build managers, QA engineers, DevOps practitioners, IT managers/executives, architects and IT operations professionals, many of whom are luminaries within the Jenkins community. Users work within enterprises and organisations around the world that are leveraging Jenkins throughout their software delivery processes.
JUC brings together the full strength of the Jenkins community – now more than 100,000 active installations strong. The growth of JUC, worldwide, over the last four years reflects the growth of the Jenkins community. In 2014 alone, JUC saw an 80 percent increase in attendance over 2013.
The Jenkins User Conference World Tour 2015 will be held in the following locations:
June 18-19, U.S. East, Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Alexandria, VA.
June 23-24, Europe, Hilton Metropole, London
July 16, Israel, InterContinental David, Tel Aviv
September 2-3, U.S. West, Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA.
Register now and take advantage of the Early Bird discount (in effect until May 1)
The CloudBees-sponsored CD Summit will run concurrently with JUC in each region (except Israel), giving attendees an opportunity to delve more deeply into the business and management aspects of continuous delivery. Bringing JUC and CD Summit together puts Jenkins experts and continuous delivery thought leaders in one place at the same time, allowing attendees of both conferences to share ideas and bolster their industry knowledge.
“The growth of the Jenkins User Conference parallels the momentum the community has shown over the past few years,” said Kohsuke Kawaguchi, founder of the Jenkins project and CTO, CloudBees. “The world tour provides the opportunity to gather as a community, exchange new ideas and strike up conversations across Europe, Israel and the United States about best practices surrounding continuous delivery.”
