Ness SES Ramps Up Data Analytics Digital Offering with Big Data Expert Leadership

London, UK - 3 February 2015 - Ness Software Engineering Services (SES), a leading provider of software product engineering services, has today announced the appointment of Big Data expert, Moshe Kranc, to the position of Chief Data Officer (CDO). This executive appointment comes as Ness SES ramps up its expertise in data analytics to benefit customers who want to thrive in the digital economy.

Moshe arrives at Ness SES from 25 years in management roles and another 10 years working in high-tech. Most recently, Moshe led the Big Data Centre of Excellence in Tel Aviv for Barclays Bank, which provided guidance and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for Big Data technologies and projects across the bank. Moshe was also part of the Emmy award-winning team that designed the scrambling system for DIRECTV.

Paul Lombardo, CEO at Ness SES commented, "Moshe has proven his expertise in the technology sector and his business acumen in management roles. His excellent experience in Big Data allows us to offer best-of-breed, high impact data analytics solutions to our customers. Moshe's leadership will help us to drive business growth, as our customers seek to leverage sophisticated Big Data and analytics capabilities to create revenue opportunities from digital services and to meet the needs of digitally-savvy consumers."

On his appointment into the role, Moshe Kranc said, "I am thrilled to be named CDO at Ness SES at this inflection point, as our customers encounter Big Data opportunities and challenges. Big Data is now often called an ‘insurmountable opportunity', yet businesses are still finding their feet because the data that needs to be analysed, grows every day. On top of that, the technologies to handle this are new and unfortunately, full of ‘sharp edges'. I look forward to leveraging my knowledge and experience in this space so that we, as a business, can tailor Big Data solutions to our customers' needs whilst enhancing our core capabilities."

Big Data and analytics are core strengths for Ness SES. Coupled with user experience expertise and the deep engineering talent required for today's software products and platforms, Ness SES offers an end-to-end solution for companies competing in today's digital economy. Data analytics offers the opportunity to enrich a multi-channel approach as it is blended with compelling user experiences. It is also a critical component for Internet of Things (IoT) deployments, one of the hottest technologies in the market. In addition, data analytics can enrich data-related products through powerful visualisations.
